This card was made using an image sent to me by my friend, Carol.  I never really thought I needed this set but I’ll have to consider it now, this flower was so fun to color.  I used Copic markers to color it and then airbrushed the background.  I sewed a crazy border and then used Copic markers to color the thread.  Such a simple way to color match!  LOL!  DP is from a retired pack from Stampin’ Up.  Thanks for looking!

This was my Memorial Day card, and it is not what I started out with.  I almost threw it out as it was almost completely ruined, but I tried to save it anyway.   Here is my feeble attempt.  I stamped the background with a Scrap Block from Cornish Heritage Farms and embossed the eagle and stars (Land That I Love, Stampin’ Up).   The card stock was sewed, airbrushed and then distressed.  Hemp twine (from Archiver’s) was added last.

I made 20 various note cards measuring 3 1/2″ x 5″.  After I was enabled to buy a few hundred envelopes I figured it would be within my best interest to use some of them!  Ha!  This gift set was for a friend who recently received her graduate degree, woohooo!  I know she sends out note cards and thought she might like to have some hand made ones to use for her peeps.  Sorry the pictures aren’t the greatest, I was in a hurry when I took them.  Thanks for looking!

Echoes of Kindness is a Level 2 hostess set from Stampin’ Up.  Isn’t it pretty?  The coffee cup in the 2nd photo is from GinaK Designs.  The last card is Mindy’s Zoo, a clear stamp set that I’ve always thought was cute.  I used a retired palm leaf from Quickutz for the monkey and added some brown cording that’s used for jewelry.  All images are colored with copic markers and the ribbon is from Martha Stewart. My sister had a baby a few days ago and I used the Sketch Challenge over at SCS to help me come up with a baby card.  I’m guessing by looking at the colors and frill you can tell whether it was a boy or a girl! ; )

After taking some time off, I am back to card making.  I have always adored this stamp by Penny Black.  The image was stamped on watercolor paper and then I used markers and a paintbrush to watercolor it.   The flowers were cut out and attached with pop dots.  The border was doodled and of course, lots of glitter was added.  Thanks for looking!

I’ve been getting my feet wet stamping again by making 3×3 cards.  3×3 cards have always been fun to make.  I used a variety of stamps, Stampin Up, Kodomo, The Memory Box, Inkadinkado and a Quickutz die for the strawberry.  Thanks for looking!

Here are two cards I made a week or so ago.  I watercolored the image and cut out the moth and flower.  Sentiment is from Simply Said.  With the 2nd card,  I cut some flowers from the Lilac, Build a Flower die (Sizzix) and colored the ends with a gold paint pen.  The center of the darker pink flowers are colored with a Spica Glitter pen.  If you’ve checked out my blog in the past, you know I like sparkle! I bought some Old Olive DP (sorry, I can’t remember the name of it) a few months ago and have started cutting into it.  I like how Old Olive looks with River Rock.  I stamped a snowflake and added dazzling diamonds to it, then cut out some snowflakes (Cuttlebug die) to layer on top.  I finished the snowflakes off with an Oregon Rain Drop.  I know it’s not “traditional” snowflake colors, but like the look.  Thanks for looking!
