How cute is this? I found this file folder on one of my Cricut cartridges, Fabulous Finds. I cut it at 3 1/2″ and decorated away. Stamps are Hey Chick! (Kitchen Sink Stamps) and I used some silk flowers and an Oregon raindrop. The chick was stamped and cut out, then attached to the scallop. I thought it looked cute grazing about with nothing better to do! It made for a sweet mini album of my daughter.

I decided to try a simpler card with this stamp set, and am not too sure of this one, but I do like the color combination. The last layer of the flowers was embossed with deep burgundy embossing powder. All images were cut out and arranged on Sweet Blush card stock (PaperTrey Ink) and my accent color is Rose Red (Stampin’ Up!). I used my slit punch for the scallops and my Crop O Dial for the holes in the scallops. I finished it with some sheer ribbon.

Hydrangea Shaker Card July 19, 2008

Here we go! I made this into a shaker card. I embossed the the last layer of the hydrangeas but decided I wanted to have a little more fun with this one, and so the shaker card was born. The circle frame has faux clouds sponged onto it so it wouldn’t be so stark. The butterflies were stamped, cut out and arranged to the outside of the shaker box. Main colors are Soft Sky and Purely Pomegranate. The panel has a sewn border and I added a few flowers to match the Monarchs.  Click on the pictures so see a closer picture.  Thanks for looking!

I love this color combination. Card base is River Rock and framing layer is Groovy Guava. I stamped a flower and a few leaves from Pretty Petals (Kitchen Sink Stamps) onto some River Rock DP that I have. I stamped another set of petals onto River Rock card stock, cut them out, and then attached them to my main image. Then I added some Hydrangea flowers and ribbon to create a more defined 3D flower and finished it off with a Dew Drop in the center. I initially was going to scrap this card, however, after “hiding” it for a few days surprised myself by really liking it!

Another card using Fresh Fruits! I love the possibilities with this set and wanted to keep this card simple. Pineapple was stamped in Old Olive and So Saffron. I used a 1/4″ paper punch and Old Olive card stock for the clear Oregon raindrops. DP is from SS Secret Garden (Stampin’ Up!).

This stamp set is retired (Fresh Fruits, Stampin’ Up!) but is one of my favorites anyway. I have many favorites! I stamped the pear in Old Olive and used the rectangle Nestabilities to cut it out. The edges were also sponged in Old Olive. Background paper is DCWV, card base is from PaperTrey Ink, and the ribbon is Always Artichoke (Stampin’ Up!).  Thanks for looking!

Hello everyone! I hope you all had a good 4th! Now that summer is in full swing I think a good popsicle card is in order! I used some glittery card stock from Doodlebug and a retired die by Quickutz. “Hello” is from Amazing to Zany and stamped on a tag (Quickutz). I have made several popsicle cards but will post those later. They are definitely making me hungry for a cool treat! Click on the picture to see more details!

Garden Wanderer June 24, 2008

My second card using Kitchen Sink Stamps. I have to tell you , they are a bit addicting…and they make you feel like you’re a better stamper than you are! LOL! Okay, so I thought it’d be cute to make it look as if this little guy wandered away to see what else was out there. I added lots of Stickles to the hydrangeas and butterflies. The ground was sponged and then I dotted it with a paintbrush and Chocolate Chip reinker. The sky was created with my scallop circle template and a sponge. Click on the picture for a close up view.

I finally ordered some Kitchen Sink Stamps. I have been wanting to try these forever! I admit that I was a bit intimidated when they came, as there are 3-4 steps to create this ultra cool look. However, after a bit of experimenting, I was comfortable enough to try a card with them.

This is my first one…a little humor amongst the chicks! Maria is a GENIUS, these stamps are awesome and I will definitely be getting more! The sky was created with a scalloped circle (my template)…I sponged ink on the template and moved it around. The eggshell on the little chick’s head is on a pop dot, it just added that extra smile for me. Thanks for looking!

Pink Natural Beauty June 22, 2008

I told myself that I didn’t need this set (Natural Beauty) because I had Touch of Nature. These two sets are similar and I really didn’t think I should have both.  However, I ended up trading some stamps for this and am glad I did. I watercolored and cut out lots of flowers and leaves and layered them until I got the look I wanted. I have been having fun with the 3D look lately so I hope you don’t get too bored!
